Mapping the Municipal Planning Process in Ontario: Opportunities for Public Health Input

This report is intended as a tool to guide public health units in Ontairo and assist them in achieving community designs that ensure the protection and promotion of health. Although the report focuses on public health units in Ontario, valuable lessons and advice from the report can be applied to geographical zones beyond that of Ontario. The report focuses on three themes, neighbourhood design and food systems, natural environment, and transportation. The main audience that the report caters to policymakers, urban planners, public health professionals, and civil society.
